What Are Castors?
Castors are wheels that attach to the base of aluminium extrusion profiles. Enclosed in a frame (or a yoke), these wheels are designed to facilitate controlled movement. Many castors can feature components like locks or brakes to enhance stability and safety.
Constructed from carbon steel and heavy-duty nylon/polyurethane, Matara castors rotate freely to enable easy rotation and flexible manoeuvrability.
What Are Base Plates?
Located between the column and foundation of a structure, base plates spread the load of the column to minimise the stress being placed on the foundation. In addition to reducing structural stress, they also support alignment.
Matara base plates provide essential support for aluminium profiles, fixing them to the ground and providing key height adjustment.
What Is a Pivot Foot?
A pivot foot is key for providing structural support where gradual height adjustment is needed. Featuring a small swivelling angle to accommodate uneven flooring, our range of feet features both pivot and levelling feet to secure the strength and stability of your profiles and fixtures.
