Pilot & Mechanical Valves
At Matara UK, we are proud to offer our comprehensive range of pilot valves and mechanical valves to help your pneumatic systems run smoothly and efficiently. Constructed in-house, our valves are built to offer variety and consistency, so you can find the solution you need.
What Are Mechanical Valves?
Mechanical valves regulate the flow of compressed air within pneumatic systems. Unlike manual valves, these valves use machine components such as push buttons, twist buttons, and latching palm buttons to control airflow between pneumatic components.
These pneumatic mechanical valves can be operated by either a mechanism or an operator. They perform critical actions in pneumatic circuits, with assistance from other valves, including our pilot valves, and play a fundamental role in the correct operation of any pneumatic system.
How Long Do Mechanical Valves Last?
At Matara UK, our mechanical valves are designed to last for millions of cycles. The lifespan of a particular valve will depend on factors such as cycle rate, air quality within the system, temperature, moisture, and the presence of any electrical factors.
How Do Pilot Valves Work?
Pilot valves react to the force of compressed air in a pneumatic system to control the primary valve. These valves use a small pilot signal to ensure that control function and flow capacity remain consistent, enabling precise control.
Why Choose Pilot Valves
Reliable and built for long-term performance, our pilot valves are the best option for both time savings and cost. They enable you to invest both your time and money back into critical areas of your plant, rather than having them wasted on maintenance and machine downtime.
Our range includes the popular MVAA Series from Mindman, with both single- and double-pilot options available. They are well-suited to the process industry and are designed to work in conjunction with our mechanical valves to deliver optimum performance.
